About

Kari Valles is a Houston area native who grew up with a passion for creativity and has been a lover of art since childhood.  She has enjoyed taking a variety of art classes throughout her life, and is currently completing her degree in Art Studies through the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at ASU.  She loves continually learning and applying new ideas in her art practice although the techniques she uses to create abstract pieces are largely self-taught and products of experimentation. 

Kari finds inspiration for her paintings through the life that surrounds her and places she visits...nature, patterns, designs and colors all influence her work. The aspects of life that create meaning are expressed through her art.

As someone with a love for interior design, she appreciates that a distinctive piece of abstract art can be a focal point in a given space, compliment the surrounding area, and set a tone of ultimate taste and originality.

To this end, Kari works closely with clients to envision pieces that she and the client are passionate about, and to create a piece that will bring joy to the clients and their homes.

Kari lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with her husband, two sons, and a very fluffy white cat!
